A Case of Small Cell Carcinoma of the Stomach

|
Small cel carcinoma originates from APUD cell of any part of the body. Usually the cases are discovered in the lung, and have poor prognosis. Primary small cell carcinoma of the stomach has been recognized recently, and only three cases have been
reported in the Korea. This tumor is morphologically analogous to small cell carcinoma of the lung. And characterized by very aggressive clinical course.
We report a case of primary small cell carcinoma of the stomach which had hepatic metastasis. The lesion of the stomach, located in the upper body and cardia, is ulcerated with irregular margin and dirty surface covered with exudates.
